Our Philosophy |
Work began in the Spring of 2005 to reclaim the gardens about the 1920’s house with the planting of heirloom perennials, bulbs, and roses amongst the established hardscape of large camellias, crepe myrtles, azaleas, and oak-leaf hydrangeas. Work within the house began soon thereafter to provide a warm backdrop for our Antiques, Arts and Comforts of Life. As we developed the idea of the shop, it became self-evident that we should highlight some of the many talented craftspeople and artists we encountered. They are the final thread that makes The Brown House complete.
Anticipated features include the offering of heirloom roses, herbs, and topiaries Spring 2006 as well as continuing lectures and workshops about elegant cottage living and gardens. |
